  1. Rats were given permethrin (75 mg/kg body weight/day, gavage) daily for 90 consecutive days. The rats in control group received daily an equivalent dose of corn oil (1 ml/kg body weight/day). The body weight of each rat was recorded daily. All rats were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium and decapitated twenty-four hours after the last administration. Weights of organs were immediately measured after they were isolated from the body. Data are presented as mean ± SD (n = 5). *P < 0.05, compared with the control
