Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) gene expression levels in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) treated with dexamethasone. The FAK gene expression levels decreased significantly in both groups 24-h period A (control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–7 M + HG) p = 0.823; control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–6 M + HG) P = 0.0006; control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–5 M + HG) p = 0.0006), and 48-h period B (control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–7 M + HG) p = 0.0253; control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–6 M + HG) p < 0.0001; control high glucose vs. dexamethasone (10–5 M + HG) p < 0.0001).
