Treatment with SAL for 48 h inhibited the mRNA expressions of CaL α1C-subunit and MLCK in cultured cerebral VSMCs under high glucose condition. Relative mRNA levels of CaL α1C-subunit (a) and MLCK (b) are shown as a percentage of the β-actin mRNA, respectively. It is shown the relative mRNA levels of CaL α1C-subunit (c) in cultured cerebral VSMCs under normal glucose condition.
