CXB has protective effects on IL-1β treated NPCs, and inhibition of autophagy leads to apoptosis. A Atg5 silencing and autophagy inhibition was evaluated by two different sequences of siRNA. B-E NPCs were treated with IL-1β, 10 µM CXB, or with inhibited autophagy. Pro-survival protein Bcl-2 and pro-apoptotic protein cleaved caspase-9, Bax were analyzed by Western blot. The grouping of blots were cropped from different parts of different blots.
