Data were represented as mean ± SEM and statistical significance was tested using unpaired t-test between the two groups (ns – non significant, * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001), followed by Bonferroni– Dunn post hoc corrections. Each protein represented as horizontal rows is from the same gel. For Fig. 6A and C, each row is bordered and separated from other rows to indicate that each protein was probed separately either on a fresh blot or on the same blot after stripping them first. Images were acquired using the Biorad ChemiDoc Imaging system with a standard automated exposure and SuperSignal™ West Pico PLUS Chemiluminescent Substrate. 6A and 6C are separate experiments and exposure times for imaging were different.
