The effect of amlodipine on the expression of master regulators of antioxidant response and metabolism. Renal I/R injury has been associated with a significant decrease in Sestrin2/β-actin (&&&, p < 0.001), Nrf2/β-actin (&&&&, p < 0.0001), and p-AMPK/AMPK (&&, P < 0.01). Treatment with amlodipine enhanced the expression of Nrf2 (***, p < 0.001) and Sestrin2 (***, p < 0.001), whereas did not change AMPK phosphorylation. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVAs) followed by post hoc Tukey’s tests was used to compare the groups. Charts are shown as mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM) (n = 3)
